Qualities cultivated by yoga – intuitiveness

Please click on the video below to watch, 'Qualities cultivated by yoga - intuitiveness'-on my YouTube Channel.
Please read the disclaimer on the blog before following these videos -

Intuition is the ability to know or understand something without reasoning.  Yogis think of it as tapping into your inner wisdom.  You could also think of it as allowing what is in your subconscious mind to come into your conscious mind.

In yoga our centre for intuition is the third eye and we can cultivate our intuition by balancing the third eye chakra and through meditation which I often think of as ‘chiseling’ a groove into the subconscious mind.

In our video this week I introduce you to a more intuitive way of practicing Alternate nostril breathing – the breath practice is also calming for the mind.  When we allow the mental ‘chatter’ to subside, we open the way for our subconscious thoughts to become conscious. To this end we practice forward bends and twists as well as poses that balance the third eye.
The meditation is one in which we meet our spirit guide.
